Quick question about my my home recording computer. I have had a few posts on here asking for advice about hardware for a studio, but this is just for my home setup. Where I personally record.

Dear members,
my question is:
when you create a new recording-session on your multitrack, do you usually save it (and record) on the HD of your computer or on external HD (someone has told me that an external HD is faster and lighter than the one of the computer)?
Thank you in advance.

I haven't exported a project to OMF in quite sometime, and was just now attempting to do so in Sonar so that a pal of mine, who works with a Mac ( Logic, to be precise) can open it.
The project is in two parts, a live recording of two sets, each set was tracked at 44/24, 6 tracks, 55 min in length.
Hello Recordings.org
My name is Viktor Reddersen, and I am new to this forum and to the world of different mics as well.
I got an AKG C34 from a closed studio last week. Now; I don't know a lot about microphones, since I'm "just" working as a radio journalist. But anyway I would like to ask you, what kind of microphone I just got.
Hey I'm a new electronic composer, i have barely an idea of what I'm doing. I wrote this track using fl studio, an fl studio stock synth, basic fl drums, and a nexus lead. I have no eq or any effect on anything and thats what i want to learn how to do.
So, I am upgrading my recording computer and find myself in the same old spot. What Motherboard and CPU combination should I be looking at purchasing?
It seems no one is willing to, or can't, give a definitive answer to this question.
Maybe it's because the question is the wrong one?
Maybe the question(s) should be:
Trying to make these dj like sounds, not sure how. They are just baisic scratching sounds. Starts at 1:12
Hello All,
I am about to upgrade my recording computer and need to decide on a motherboard. So I have a few questions.
My audio interface is a MOTU 2408 mk3 and the 24 i/0 addition. I would like to be able to run at least 24 tracks with various plugins smoothly. Or even for that matter record 24 tracks at once.
