Hey guys, got another song to show you! It's kind of progressive metal/rock with an extended structure (starts off in a general song structure then 'goes off on one' with some ridiculous time signature changes)..trying to keep it a bit tasteful though.

Is there an advantage in using a FW 800 PCI-E card over a FW PCI card ?
Also I have read about 32 bit / 64 bit cards and buses.
Does this relate with the DAW software being 64 bit ? Or is it just the compatibility with the operating system ?
therefore having no affect on audio software operation ?
I'm no pro - I write and record my own stuff. Am I welcome to post stuff here?
Hi there!
I'm completely new to recording. I searched for forums on Google about mics and recording and found this site...
I have a Blue Yeti microphone and that's all. I need to be able to record my guitar (unplugged) and vocals at the same time with a decent sound. I tried previously but my guitar was too loud and my vocals were too quiet.
Hey everybody,
Hallo,
Not that I use any wave plugins, it looks like they are having a $9 Year End Blowout deal until Dec 31 2012. Something must be up lol. Drive safely.

Hey guys!
I'm a new user here,
I'll get right to the point, I'm living with my parents still and I need to soundproof my bedroom for my home studio.
I'm not trying to completely isolate my room my goal isn't to have an amp turned up to 11 at 6am.
I was thinking of having my home studio in a basement, who here has done same thing and how much noise gets out? I just don't wanna record and have police called on me.
My current situation is that I have a combined mix/tracking room in my basement. I've put in a lot of bass traps and diffusion (mostly under the guidance of people on this forum) and the result is a fairly neutral sounding (as opposed to "good sounding") tracking room. I get good vocals and acoustic instruments. Drums are ... not terrible.
