I recorded a children's choir concert today. The space was a large church with a lot of ambience (4 sec. reverb) Two suspended overhead mics were used to capture the choir sound. Unfortunately the piano was in close proximity to these mics, underneath and in front of the conductor and choir. The lid was closed.

What does Transducer Principle : Pressure gradient microphone mean?

What is the difference in sound between a transformer and transformerless mic. Why would someone choose to use one or the other and is there a more specific micpre that goes better with either?

"I purchased a new VocoPro VHF-3300 wireless mics.

Would like to connect it to my stereo system to to have a faux karaoke for our living room so that mu wife and I can practice a little singing together.

The problem is of course the mics have 1/4” male plug and the stereo system has 1/8” female plugs.

I plan on upgrading my mic to the SM7B but I am using a RME Babyface or the Duet2

What is your suggestion on what I should get?

I mainly do youtube commentaries and rap.
