Any critique on this mix would be hugely appreciated; in particular bass and drums
Mixing bass through headphones is hard, imo. I watched a youtube video recently that said it should generally sit at the level of the drum kick providing a kind of 'tail' from the initial kick drum 'thud'.
I'm not sure if I've managed to..?

Aiming for a 'big sound' on this mix...
Hey everyone,
This is a new instrumental I'm working on (mixed as per usual on my DT990 pros). I'm trying to up my game on use of reverb.. this is all tracked in Logic Pro and I'm using some room reverb for mix ambience that I bus more or less everything through. Does it work?

Mixing song stems in the studio
Hi everyone, Happy Holidays!
Here's what I'm having an issue with:
1. I received 34 tracks from some friends for me to mix down in my studio (I'm using my Roland VS2480's for the mix & master).
2. All tracks were originally recorded at 192kHz and converted down to 48kHz by my friends using Studio One.

My latest instrumental.. trying to nail the drums. How do they sound...?
Hey all,
I've been working on a new instrumental. Well, it's actually a re-work of a track I first attempted 20-odd years ago. Anyhow, what does everyone think? Have I nailed it?.. I'm trying to get the drums to sound 'decent'.. Might have over embellished in a few places..
At usual, I'm mixing on my trusty DT-990 pro headphones.
Thanks,
Ben.
One of the most enjoyable projects I've worked on recently
I've known David Myers for many years and never knew that he played piano. He mentioned one day that he'd like to record one of his original tracks and asked if I'd produce it.
The track was recorded and mixed in Cakewalk by Bandlab. Guitars and bass were recorded direct using the Kemper.
This song is called Found
I am lost
You are found

I open it again the words really coming in
