Hi I'm just mixing inside the box right now but i was planning on buyin a Neve 8816 summing mixer. My setup right now is an Apogeerossetta hooked up to a digi 003. My question is should i route out using the 8 Apogeeconverters; or used the 8 digi outputs plus the 8 rossetas, or is it real worth it to buy another rossetta.

In both Sony Acid Pro 6 or Sony Vegas Pro 8, you can move tracks above and below each other, but is there a more sophisticated way to organize them? That is, can you group tracks like you can group layers in Photoshop? Like, have a vocals group with all vocal tracks?

thoughts?

i've heard good things about the e-100 on almost everything except vocals. i have no hands-on experience with any of the Equitek mics.

Our recording studio is in need of a software that can handle the scheduling and booking of studio time, as well as billing for those engineers. Ideally, the software would require the engineer to log in upon starting up the main computer so that all minutes would be accounted for.

Guys..I'm having a practise mixing here.. I recorded a local rock band (they sounded like alterbridge/creed).

Here's my DRUM TRACK PANNING.

KICK - center
SNARE - center
HATS - center
TOM1 - 30% R
TOM2 - 30% L
FLTOM- 50% L
OHEAD L - 100% L
OHEAD R - 100% R

is this ok? or not?

So...recently i have overcome a horrible latency problem thanks to the help on here :) (blasted audio latency)

Now though, i have one baffling little thing hindering my recording...

I use Hypersonic through Nuendo 2, i can triggle all the vst fine and everything sounds great although it is all panned hard right

They seem intriguing. Has anyone gotten their hands onthem? And what do you think of it. Maybe some samples?
