Hello, I play around with home recording, and I recently discovered multiband compression, and I'm wondering how many of you pros use multiband compression on the final mix? I use Audition 3.0, and the multiband compressor has four assignable bands.

I just bought an M-Audio Keystation 49e for my PC and it came with Ableton Live Lite 4 and after visiting the Ableton website I upgraded it to version 7 Lite for free which was marvellous.

Here is what I am trying to do:
I have a RME Fireface 800 that is connected to my Mac via Firewire 800 and I have a MBox connected via USB. I would like to record into Pro Tools software but send the audio input through the RME and bypass the MBox. Basically I want the MBox to be a 'dongle' for Pro Tools to run.

I'm this question has come up but i can't seem to find it in the search. .

i am planning on getting a Digi 003 and getting back into Pro Tools. i was planning on getting sompressors and eq hardware so i wouldnt use up all the ram on plugins. but then i remembered Pro Tools has audiostuite plugins that process the selected audio and doesnt use up all the ram. so i noticed that Waves plugins work with audiosuite and I'm planning on getting the power pack.

Hello Everybody:

The final inserts on my master fader are 2 Avalon 737 mic preamp-amps (for their opto-compressors) followed by a Waves L-2.

I've been noticing a delay in the L-2's reaction in the beginning of most tunes. The first few notes are louder then it clamps down.

Looking for opinions on tracking to 2" at 15ips with Dolby SR then transferring to Pro Tools HD vs. recording straight to Protools, from people who have experienced it. Does it sound better?
