I have been using (Slow Tools), oops sorry,Pro Tools for over 10 years now
in my work as Freelance Engineer.

I am trying to move the data from an Alesis HD-24 to my computer so I can upload them into Protools. I am using the Alesis Fireport adapter to move the data to my computer, however I am having problems getting my computer to recognize the hard drive from the HD 24. My computer uses Windows Vista and will not recognize the adapter.

This weekend I did an interesting exercise with one of the songs that I am mixing, and learned a couple of things. I also am curios as to what other people think of this technique.

I have Logic 8 on a macbook. But I also have a lot of plugins for windows before i got my mac. Does anyone know if I got windows on my mac and installed the plugins would i be able to use them with logic? If not, would i be able to put another program on a pc and take the track i recorded with logic and put it on a pc and use the plugins that way?

I am using logic pro 7 and for some reason my audio is not recording stereo. I have a PreSonus firebox and there is no mono or stereo button on it. It is really frustrating me and I can't figure it out. I cannot pan audio left or right. Everything is centered.

I'm having serious trouble recording with my Juli@ card and Sonar 3 (producer's edit): I keep having audio dropouts everytime I record for more than a couple of minutes or so...

I updated to 10.5.3 first via Software Update and after reading a thread that recommended the Combo update I have tried that without any correction to my issue.

I am contemplating buying EZ drummer, but I am tempted to buy BFD 2.0 since I got this 30% off coupon. I need something to replace my not-so-cutting-edge-anymore Roland R8m.

I'm using a new macbook pro running windows vista. Pro Tools 7.4. I'm using a Maxtor 500GB external hard drive to write to. Regardless of what I'm doing, whether it be playback or recording, I get errors either saying to increase or decrease buffer size. I believe they are -6085 and -6088. I've been googling like a mad man, and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
