Hey guys! This is a cover that I recorded with a good friend. The piano is a patch and I had some trouble mixing it to keep from sounding either fake, or too harsh. I am happy with the vocals in the intro and end, but during the chorus I had trouble keeping everything balanced and distortion free. Also keeping the vocal smooth and not too harsh. I would LOOVEE all of your opinions!

An acoustic group I recorded was playing on stage in a room that didn't have the greatest lighting. The two main lights were high-wattage bulbs and hanging from low-rafters just above them and that high-pitched buzz noise from such bulbs is constant background noise throughout the recording.

The problem is that the first track IS ALWAYS RECORDED INTO THE SECOND TRACK. What happens from the beginning is this:

I record the first track (rhythm guitar).

Then I record a second track (lead guitar)

I recorded a string quartet concert that lasted just around an hour, .aiff files to a laptop. I want to burn the files to CD, but even after cutting much of the unwanted banter between tracks it's just over 900MB, too large for the standard CD-R. Honestly, I thought I recorded them at 24/96 but now I'm not sure.

This song is a little more "hard edge" than my usual stuff with double kick. Please give a critique. The higher numbered track is the most recent mix.

Hi all happy new year,
Been working on this mix, let me know if anything is annoying etc .
Its a song we wrote about 15 years back, I remember sitting in the candlelight when we did this
and it just came out in bout 5 mins .

This is a song idea I had dormant for a while without vocals. I finally figured out something for the vocals and recorded them did a rough mix. I tried out EZX Metal Machine on this and think it works well.

Hey there! This is my first time posting on Recording.org. I would like some opinions/thoughts/suggestions on this mix if you have the time, please. I recorded and mixed this cover song in Febuary-March and have since learned more about mixing and decided to touch up the mix a little bit. ANY help on this mix would be much appreciated. I've uploaded both versions of the mix.

Please check out this mix of a prog/hard rock song. There are a lot of elements here, and I need to know if every instrument is fully represented.
