I try to open one of the songs I've been working on and I get an "illegal" and logic shuts down. I havn't changed anything in the system or loaded anything new and it's only that song. Everything else opens fine and it's never done this before so I'm scratching my head,,,,,hhhhmm.
Any suggestions?

By surfing around the Digidesign site, i find that the update for the dual processor G5 isn't due out till lat november. Does anyone know if i can run ANY Pro Tools on this g5?

i can't seem to find a metronome in Samplitude 6.0. i tried going into Options>Progam Prefferences>Midi/Metronome Options, but i can't change the speed of the metronome (it's just a drum that hits at a real slow pace. can anybody help?

Does anybody here use one ?

And if they do what do they think of it. Also would it be worth investing a bit more and getting the Yamaha 01V96 ?

Some opinion/experiences would be useful.

Hello :) I have been using Sonic Foundry's Vegas Audio for the past couple of years, have heard much about pro tools, can't see what all the fuss is about, but then again maybe i'm missing something. Any user comments on either. or both? :)

Well, thanks to Dan at Watt's Up Pro Audio in NYC, I finally have a vmp4000e on order. If only the distance between the continents were closer... I'm looking forward to this pup arriving, hopefully soon. I've wanted a multi tube preamp for a while. How are all you new owners diggin' your 2000 and 4000e's? What kind of mic combinations are you using?

Does anyone know if the book, "Audio in Cubase VST quick start guide" would help me? I have a copy of Cubase 5.1, but no manual. I checked the CD and I don't see a manual on there. I'm trying to use it with the Tascam US 428. I'm not having very good luck with the version of Cubase that came with the unit. Or should I look into some other kind of software?

Any more reflections on the "trip"?
