Mixing Strategy
VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifiers) Samplitude
Forums
The VCA fader in Samplitude Pro X2, whose usability and comfort is based on large analog mixing consoles, is natively integrated in the DAW. The VCA fader allows you to control all relevant levels when mixing your project. Each existing channel strip can be easily turned into a VCA fader. You can also assign individual channels to a VCA group and control them using the VCA fader in the mixer.

AAC vs MP3
I'm using this thread as a reference as I keep searching for better ways to upload, store and playback mp3 or AAC audio files directly from our server. I know very little about server side streaming but I sure would like to find a way to improve this for our forum.

Compression & EQ - in what order do you use them ?
Forums
I thought a discussion would be in order, considering that most of us will often use both.
Accordingly, I thought it would be interesting to see what our members think, and how you approach the order of EQ and Compression in a mix...
The discussion doesn't need to be limited to just the track level, or just the bus level.
Ok to Normalize?
Forums
Is it ok to normalize a track if the recorded (vocal) material only reaches -18 db at max?
I really don't do much on the recording end but I've just encountered this.
Thanks
