Howdy Pilgrims!

This is my first ever post. I've been on this board for about three hours now and as a newbie I am overwhelmed :-), but in a good way!

I'm running a Digi002 with control board through a mac and would like to extend its capabilities by adding 8 (ADAT compatible) mic preamp's. There is the cheaper end eg. Behringer ADA8000 and the next step seams to leap up to something like an Audient ASP008.

I'm using the Pre's on my Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro. I am interested in something that would be an improvement over them but don't have a bundle to drop. $500 is the max for the budget and I would need 2 channels.

hi guys, i'm slowly nutting out exactly what stuff i want for my studio, and in terms of mic preamps, there's a lot of "must have" vintage classics, but i don't see a lot of discussion on nice clean modern units. so i was wondering what you guys consider the ultimate pre of this kind. the one i was considering was the Avalon ad2022, but i've since heard some bad things about it.

hello i m looking to buy a mic preamp to warm up my vocal tracks or acoustic guit track i m willing to spend $ 300 to 400 used or new
any coments?
i know some of you will say that i should invest more money into it but that s all i have at the moment

Great site, and please bear with me if as a newbie I ask for info already here. I've done a lot of reading on the site, and have gathered some great info. Just need a final set of opinions to see if I've interpreted everything correctly.

I just purchased the trident s20 dual mic preamp, and when i hook up my Neumann 103 it sounds great. One issue is when i push the phase reverse (only running one mono mic) the response seems to change (mostly in the low end). I tried other mics and got the same results. Seems like the condenser mics vary the most.

I'm going to be doing some recording and was wondering what a good mic preamp for a SP C1 would be

Anyone ever heard of these? are they any good? i could get 2 for a pretty nice price. but i want to know if theyre any good?

What would be a good use for them?

Would they be good on vocals (celine dion,Mariah carey, Whitney houston) type of voice?

I'm visiting after a long time away, so I aplogise if I'm in the wrong area. I'm seeking a circuit diagram for a minimalist DIY mic preamp which was discussed in "Tech Talk" some time ago. Anybody want to tell me where to go? Can't find it through "search".
