Hey, new to the forums, not new to gear and recording. So i built an SSL comp clone using audio kitchen PCB's and THAT 2180 pre trimmed VCA's. Long story short I had some DIP sockets laying around that were 9 pins long so i used those for the VCA's.

Anyone know where i can get one? Trying to figure this beast out.

I have recently emailed a corporation company, which I will not name, and asked for a copy of the circuit schematic for a piece of equipment that I purchased from them.

Ok. So I'm a$$ deep in reaming out two separate CATV headin systems. I need to fabricate some passive splitters that are rackmount (19"). I remember reading where some of you guys purchase steel/aluminum boxes but am too tired to dig through the archives. Give a guy a helping hand? :rolleyes:

Ok so I am a little behind. I just got my first iphone. I am going to make a guitar input impedance matcher for the iphone. What feature would you like in one?

IPHONE in(1/8" 4 COND)
GTR In jack (1/4" Mono)
Amp Out Jack(1/4" mono)
Headphone out (1/8" 4 COND)
DI out (1/4" balanced)

I dunno if this is the right forum, but basically, I'm looking to make some 'snakes' that I want to use in my home. Like most middle-aged musicians and serial killers, I live alone. I pretty much record in every room. So what I end up doing is dragging long XLR cables all over the place.

500 series preamps are a pretty popular item for discussion around here. I thought I would start a thread on the racks that hold these units. I'm going to give it a go as a first shot and as new or better information comes in I will edit this first post to try and make a pretty comprehensive list of options.
