Questions about setting up a small recording rig DAW

I am in the process of setting up a small studio to do some recording for my bands Indie label project. My requirements are rather odd in that we have banjo, electric guitar, acoustic guitar,
fiddle, mandolin, drums (full kit), elect. bass and vocals. (Not all inst.
@ once, only five band members.)
So far I have:
2 Echo Layla 3G's

M-Audio Firewire Solo causing feedback on 1/4" input

My M-Audio Firewire Solo card seems to be the cause of an unavoidable consistant feedback. I am running 1/4" plugs from my turntables through my Mackie then into the M audio solo. The M Audio card is connected to my laptop through a firewire 800 cable. Im confident its not from the source (turntables) because I have recorded from vinyl using these tables through other sound cards.

iDrum

Are there any users of iDrum on here? Would you recommend it? I am intrigued by the fact that you can import your own samples/sounds in aif or wav format and create beats with it.

However, I heard that iDrum only supports 4/4 time beats. Is this true? (I hope not, what a horrendous limitation that would be).

Thanks...
