Preamp for a pair of C414?
Stop me if this sounds stupid, but I'm thinking of recording live instruments with a pair of C414s and I just realized that I don't have a dual channel preamp. Should I get something with a built in compressor/limiter, or keep those things separate?

Millennia M-2b
My M-2b arrived today! Its been a long 8 years wanting one of the Millennia's. Ever since a dealer described Millennia pre's as boring and clinical sounding, it made me want one more. Clinical spelled the truth, plus, I always thought that this opinion was partially due to the razer sound digital audio had in the early 90's.

Sebatron vmp-2000e
Ive been having problems with one of my channels on my seb, and for the life of me, i just cant seem to get some kind of support from seb, one day there there, the next day there gone. I recieved an e-mail from them to send pics of the unit (internal guts that of which Ive done), but it seems as though seb has fallen off the face of the earth.

2-channel Microphone Preamp
I have checked out the DMCLs recently. They are not bad. Does anyone know whether the send/returns are balanced or not?
I am thinking of buying that thing but still hesitate. The compressor is neither very good nor very bad, IMHO. Do you think it would be a good decision getting it and adding a decent eq into the path (any options?)?

Unmarked switch on the vmp-2000eVU
What the heck is the switch on the left side of the ON led for? There is no marking. I just got it and haven't had a chance to hook the sucker up yet, but I'm real curious to know what that is ...it's not even in the manual.
thanks

Sebatron vmp-2000e for Heavily Distored guitars?
Well I've been searching for a two channel pre to record metal guitars and I've heard so many good things about the Sebatron I'm definatley considering purchasing one.
But would this pre sound good for heavily distored guitars?
I searched the boards to see if any one had used a Sebatron pre for this purpose, but I couldn't find any.
New VMP-2000e
After searching through pounds of literature over a period of one month in search of a pre-amp that fits my need. I finally made my decision and purchased the Sebatron vmp-2000e from Dan of Watts-Up-Audio.
