I purchased 2 ART Tubefire (TF) a few months ago to facilitate recording live gigs, needed more than 8 channels is the reason for 2 units.

I am using a P4 3.0ghz, 120gb sata (dedicated drive), 2gb dual memory, firewire (VIA chip) pci card equipped PC running Windows XP SP3.

I was wondering if anyone has any opinions or reviews about the new ART Pro VLA II. I've seen a lot of reviews about the original version, however, this one is supposed to have a decent amount of upgrades. It's still a fairly new compressor so a Google search hasn't turned up much on it yet.

What i want to do is spliting the signal from the concert scene.
1 to the FOH mixer and 1 to my stack of MOTU 8Pre's.

I have had little luck finding active/passive mic splitters, but i found this one.

anybody have one I'm looking into getting one just wondering if someone could give me some useful info on it thanks

I know it's very old gear, but I've had trouble in finding some manuals for ART Multiverb Alpha and ART Multiverb III.
Has anyone got some PDFs of these or any tips for a source? Dave.

I do most of my work on computer although lately I want to rely more on my Alesis Ion synth as well as add a Dave Smith Instruments Mono Evolver Keyboard.

I just bought an ART Tube MP Studio V3 preamp, and am plugging it into the "line in" input on my computer. It just came in yesterday, and for the ten minutes I had to play with it I was Micing my acoustic guitar. I got a great signal. Today I plugged my electric guitar directly into it, and it was barely giving me any gain.

So a few years ago in a fit of stupidity I went blindly off a salesperson's suggestion and bought an ART TPS II.

It's been sitting unused for a long long time. Today I thought "gee, I'll think I'll try to sell it."

I have had this ART Pro Channel in my studio for years now and I would like to breath some new life into it. I ordered and installed Ei 12AX7 Elites and TungSol 12AX7 [ NEW PRODUCTION] tubes only to find that both had issues. The Ei's had +17 dB noisefloor over baseline factory tube. The TungSol tube has a bad harmonic distortion at about 300hz.

Hey i looking at getting a mic preamp as my next purchase. I'm fairly new to recording so i don't know much. i was just wondering if anyone has used any of those art pres like the MPA GOld or the pro channel or if anyone has any suggestions for a pre under 500. I was also looking at the brick which seems to get really good reviews. i have PreSonus firepod with Cubase 4.
