Signal Chain upgrade advise please

Hi,

I am currently using PreSonus firestudio as my interface and was plesently surprised with the quality of the preamps/ converters within.
I also use Joemeek Twin Q Studio Channel as my main preamp for vocals etc.

I am looking to improve my signal path to Cubase as I am expanding my studio in an effort to go professional but on a budget.

SSL Alpha Link converters. Advise needed.

I'm about to switch to Pro Tools HD 3 Accel system and I'll be getting an SSL XRack with 2 eight-channel and 2 four-channel summing modules for a total of 24 summing channels. Here is the question though. I'm thinking of buying an SSL Alpha Link 24 channel converter that will be connected to SSL Delta Link which is a MADI to Pro Tools converter box.

Advise please! - Equipment and laws?

Ok, so i am new here, nice to meet you all.

I have come here like I'm sure many people do, to ask for help and advice.

I have made a business plan and have a company ready to make CD's and package them for me, ready for sale. I also have a business plan and the money for the initial start up of my record label business. Yep, thats right, a record label.

advise on career path

Hello--I have a question for those of you that are working (or have worked) in the larger facilities that hire interns. I have a nephew that seems to have a natural aptitude for engineering (his mixes blow mine away, and he hasn’t been at it as long). He also genuinely enjoys it, so I would like to see him with a career in the field.

Need good advise for my backing tracks.

I have played in many venues over the years with many different sound systems etc. and to stop having the backing tracks playing with guitar on one side of the room and strings or what ever on the other side of the room,(if you know what I mean) I mastered all my tracks in mono so I would have the whole track coming out of any speaker it was playing through.

Need advise on building a home studio

I've been recording for about 5 years now. I used a Roland VS-880 for my first project and soon there after discovered Pro Tools. I did a few projects on a borrowed Digi001 and swore by Pro Tools for the next year. Later, I discovered Cubase SX and love it. A am still using it today. Most of what I do are simple projects for people that are wanting to demo there song.
