Need some help with Apogee's Rosetta 800

Im thinking of purchasing the Apogee Rosetta 800 and (when its available) purchase the Fire wire X card so I can run this straight into my computer. That way I can toss my Aardvark Q10. But then, when i press play on my cubase, how Im I going to hear a stereo pair to send to my monitors ? and How will I'll eb able to mintors what is coming into the Rosetta ? Thanks

How can I sync my Rosetta, Octane, and 002 together?

I need these three devices to chase the same clock source. I want the main clock source to be from the Rosetta. I will be recording 2 Channels from the Rosetta Via S/PDIF and 8 Channels from the Octane Via ADAT.

-The Rosetta has WC out, ADAT out, and S/PDIF out.

-The Octane has WC in & out, and ADAT out.

Rosetta 800/AD16x difference?

I'm new to the a/d conversion table. I see that the Rosetta clearly has 8 channel capability while the ad16x has 16, although the prices seem all too similar to just be 'another 8 channels for the ad16x'. I'm not sure, other than the 8 channels, what the difference is between the Rosetta800 and the AD16x? They both appear to be A/D converters w/ the great Apogeeword clock technology.

Rosetta 800/firewire

Opus, congrats sir! Sounds like you had a great wedding/honeymoon! Havn't been around here in a while. Just wanted to ask you about the rosetta 800 and the firewire option. This is the route I want to take using firewire. Is this option going to be out any time soon? I have yet to purchase the rosetta 800 but going to very soon. :p:
