Soundproof your bedroom at the flick of a switch:
Soundproof your bedroom at the flick of a switch: Elastic tubes that can be built into walls turn sounds on and off at will
- Helices of elastic created a material that acts as an on/off switch for sound
- Leaving the material uncompressed allows audible sound to pass through
Recording vocals in bedroom?
I do this all in my bedroom at home... I am not looking for a professional result, but anything that could cut down on picking up extra room noise. Hang up blankets? Sing in a corner? I appreciate any help. I use a RODE Nt2-a if that makes any difference, and it goes in through my firepod. Thanks!

Cheapest 2 channel firewire interface for bedroom recording?
PreSonus Inspire?
I'm looking for something for my friend who sings and plays piano and just wants to get a relatively clean recording. Right now she's just using her computer's built in mic/card and getting very noisy results without the ability to adjust the input gain. So I'm looking for a very simple firewire interface. Budget is the main consideration.
Bedroom studio need a little advice
Being disabled and really not able to do much other than record some stuff in my bedroom I wanted to get something easy to use yet be able to make a semi pro quality CD.
I was looking at the Yamaha AW2400, would that be a good choice?

Bedroom Recording... oooof
So I don't know how familiar anyone here is with true screamo music, but let me say, the genre as a whole, lacks decent recording. Being that it's a low budget D.I.Y. scene, that's to be somewhat expected, but even the guys that are on more major "Indie" labels are having some rough recording issues, so basically what I am getting around to is this...

Bedroom Bach
Hi guys,
I'm borrowing a viola at the moment, and I thought I would try to record some Bach in my bedroom this morning. I picked the first movement of the solo partita no. 2 in d-minor - sounds a bit like the cello sonatas when played on the viola, but the music is still lovely.

how can i build the best bedroom studio for $10K?
I need some advice from people who've been around.
I won't be tracking drums. Probably just vocals, guitars and percussion. I'll have to outsource the drums for anything major. everything else will be direct in.
The room is a small cube, so i'll be padding everything to get the maximum isolation and try to dispell my standing waves.
Which HDR for Client "Bedroom" collaborations
Lately clients have been asking me for recommendations as to which of the current crop of hardware hard disk recorders they should buy. Their goal is to be able to take mixes of rhythm tracks, etc. that they do in my studio back to their "bedroom" so that they can add some overdubs at their leisure, without the pressure of my clock running.
