I'm thinking to buy Bluebird SL mic for solo instrument and chamber and looking a portable recorder which is perfect matched to bird.
Im putting together a home studio and already picked out everything that Im getting. For mics Im gonna start my future collection with a Shure SM58 and Beta 58, but I know eventually Im going to want some condensers as well. So, I was wondering if you had to pick between the AT4040 or Bluebird, which would you pick?

I'm planning on upgrading my mic which do you think would be better for brighter vocals?..i only have a budjet of 1000 dollars for a mic and a preamp, or just a mic, I'm leaning towards the at2050, but the bluebird is slowly gaining my interest.
Which one would you recommend as the only LDC in a closet?
Solaris or Blubird ? Vocal Reads only with Deep Voice.
Can't afford to go any higher on my budget and these 2 caught my eye.
Here's my dilemma...
I run a home based studio and I currently have access to two AT 4040 mic's. They're decent mics that work well for a lot of the stereo pairing that I use them for. However, they aren't mine (they belong to a drummer friend) and could be picked up and gone at anytime. So I'd be left without any large diaphragm mic's if they were gone.
hey guys, I need a little help, I'm looking for a good large diafragm mic, specially for vocals and acustic instruments, and I've been looking at the AKG C414 and the Blue Bluebird, heard good things about both of them but I've just heard the AKG, what do you think of those two?.
