Hello all

Perhaps people in the US are more familiar with this brand.
What's your opinion on Carvin mixers? In particular the C 3240 Concert series.
It's a 32 ch, 4 group, direct outs, 6 aux, phantom power, pretty much everything I need, except phase switch.

Any thought on construction,sonic qualities?
Would you use it for recording?

I found out there an old Carvin DCM150 power amp. I tried it and I was surprised how good its sound is! But the heat that the unit reaches, surprised me also!

Anyone out there remember/know something about this units concerning heat?

Hi there everyone! I guess I'm the new guy around here. :D After lurking around here the last week or so I've gotta say I'm really digging this place. On to the tales of horror and woe!

I just bought this Carving FX1644 mixer for $180 and I would like to know what year it was made in.

Does anyone have any experience using either the CM-87S condensor made by carvin or their tube equipped CTM100? I find these mics intresting and the price appealing, but as of yet I haven't been able to find a whole lot of reliable opinions on these.

Hi everyone. I'm in the market for live performance (weddings etc.) power amps. Carvin HD 1800 ($349) would be ideal. QSC carries its 2450 which runs for I believe $599. $400 is the most I can spend. How would you campare quality and durability of the two makes? Please elaborate on the subject. Thanks.

We have a non pro 12 piece Funky R&B band that plays out a few times/month. We're looking for a larger mixer then our current Mackie CFX20. I found some used Mackie SR 24/4 VLZ Pro's on ebay selling for about $500. I also noticed the Carvin C2444 on sale for $800 this month.

I am 15 years old. I hope to be a full time studio engineer and live sound man.

• Fostex MR8 8 track recorder
• Peavey 2000 Escort PA
• Shure PG Drum Mics

And a lot of other cheap stuff..
