I just got HD 10. I know HAHA I know. So aaaanyway I installed the HD system and now need a monitor controller. Im using the alternate inputs on the Digi 003 as a monitor controller right now in the mean time. What do you use and what would you give it on a scale of 1-10 and why? Im not going to get a 5.1 controller right yet so think stereo.

At the moment I have a simple set up of pro tools 8 on an iMac and a simple 2 track m-audio box.

I just bought an M-Audio X-Session Pro and I can link knobs and sliders, but I want to link the play button on the controller to the play button in Fruity Loops, but instead all the buttons on the X-Session pro are used to hit keys on the Virtual Piano, but I have a separate midi piano for that. Some two years ago I searched for an affordable 24 faders controller for my studio rig. I simply found none. There was solutions that were OK, but nothing for the "middle-class" professional. So I decided to create my own using a Mackie D8B.

I am wondering how common this is?

I recently got a hold of a Tascam DM24 on the cheap, and we are using it as a midi controller w/ Nuendo 4.
I'm tired of doing fader and panning automation w/ a mouse - in general, tired of using a mouse unless absolutely necessary.

For me, it's about a better workflow more than anything.
