Hi. I'm wondering if somebody can explain to me what the "expression" controller (#11) does, and whether it really does anything different from the volume controller (#7). As far as I can tell, raising or lowering the "expression" value just changes the volume.

I got a Mackie Control universal to use with Samplitude. So far I have had nothing but problems with it. I bought it to use with my live radio show post production chores but so far it has been more of a problem than I anticipated. It seems to work well with certain parts of Samplitude and not so well with others.

Hey...I was wondering if anyone knows of any other universal controllers other than the Mackie?

i've been looking at the PreSonus central station, and it has many things that i would love to have, but for the money it seems like a rip off. I was wondering if it would be possible to build a rackmount unit that could control volume for 2 sets of monitors (at different times) and have stereo outs for two seperate headphone amps?

Hi, I'm a 3 mo lurker and decided it's time to ask a question.

Problem, looking for a external controller for DAW software while connecting a MAC and PC to work in harmony:

My systems:
AMD64 @ 2.8 (crushes 2.5 in terms of vst plugins)
AMD XP 2800

Ive got Pro Tools Le 6.5 and ive got a little Tascam Us-225 Daw controller...I cant get pro tools to pick it up. Ive dropped the .dll's into the Pro Tools DAE/controllers folder and i still cannot control pro tools with the unit. The Tascam says it can control Digidesign. I am planning to buy the 25 channel Tascam controller and i dont want this same problem, sumbody help me out.
