Cubase 5 (Recording and Editing Live Drums?)
One of the big things that I haven't been able to figure out on Cubase 5 is how to easily edit live drums that aren't quite in time. For my drum tracks I usually have 8 different tracks that I am working with, and in order to fix timing issues, I have to edit each individual track.

Cubase 5 Problems with Windows 7 Please Advise
Hello there,
I recently have gotten a new computer and it has been a nightmare trying to get things working. I have had it for about a month and have yet to record a single track because nothing is working properly. I will try to be as detailed as possible and hopefully can find solutions.
The comp specs are:
Brand: Dell Studio XPS
Cubase 5 vs. Sonar 8
Well... I finally got my new comp and downloaded the trial versions of Cubase and Sonar. So far, my familiarity with Cubase is making me lean in that direction. I do like the look of Sonar though. What I don't like is that I know version 8.5 has a lot more that 8.0 (which is the only demo version they offer).

Problems with Cubase 5 & Alesis Multimix 8 USB
I cannon get Cubase 5 to recognize my Alesis Multimix 8 USB. (Please note that it is not the USB 2.0 model.)
I have tried visiting the Alesis website to download ASIO drivers, however there are none available for this board, as it is a plug n play device. The board included a copy of Cubase 4 le, so I am assuming that it SHOULD be compatible with Cubase 5.
How reliable is 64 bit with the latest Cubase 5?
I just wanted to see if anyone has tried running a lot of 32 bit and 64 bit plugins in Cubase 5 with vista 64 bit.
Anyone run into problems yet?
Preferably Gutiar Rig 3, Superior drummer 2, Izotope Ozone, Waves plugins that I want to know about.

Cubase 5 New tools, toys
I just bought back into Pro Tools. I thought melodyne and autotune were pretty skookum. Now I see what Cubase is up to. Pretty cool and kinda scary. Anyone using Cubase 5 yet?

Steinberg Cubase 5 vs. Cakewalk SONAR 8 Producer Edition
I'm looking to buy some recording software along with a computer interface. My comp is fast, no problems there. I'm thinking about a MOTU 2408 Core MkIII PCIe interface. That leaves me with about a $600 budget for the software. I'm thinking Cubase 5 or SONAR 8. I will mostly record band audio (drums, bass, guitar, vocs) but will also do my singers side project hip hop stuff.
