I have got discovered vintage AKG CK12 Brass capsule at home.

I would like to build a mic with this capsule and use a standard one-transistor Jfet circuit of ECM electret mics (common source either
source follower)...

Has anyone ever tried to wire such a large capsule with a single Jfet transistor ? Do you think this might work as a decent condenser mic ?

I've been ask a few times lately about what model would be the best to order from MicParts. So in this video I test 3 mics, the T47, T12 and S87

At 2 min, I made a mistake and mention the U87 but it's in fact the U47 ;)

Here is a new mic shoutout that includes 3 products from microphone-parts.com
I had many questions about the mods and the DIY Kits.
Hope you can hear the subtle differences.

I'm still getting used to audio and video productions so your comments are needed and welcome.

I'm trying to estimate two cost points for an acoustical door:

- The entire assembly including mounting hardware, seals etc.

- The door panel itself, excluding hardware, handle, etc.

I have a way to go before arriving at an estimate for the entire door, but come up with this baseline cost based on Rod Gervais's book:

I first learned about CAPI gear on the forums. I was looking to dip my toes into the world of API sounds, not fully knowing what that meant. I had heard all the descriptors like punchy, forward mids, aggressive, tight, etc., but wanted to try it out for myself. So many great albums were done on API's, right?
