DIY less air/bright
Anybody still around?. .
I'm wondering if there's a way to lessen the bost on the air/bright/deep switches. I'm actually using my Sebbox a lot for running mixes and other ITB stuff thru. The switches are a useful addition that I'd probably use a lot more if they were a little less obvious.
Spill the beans Seb..
Cheers
Pete

DIY Monitor Controller?
I was looking into a few things. Is it possible to just use an Dual Ganged Audio Taper in between my DAW output and my active monitors. I am currently using a Behringer crap mixer to adjust control room monitoring levels and I hate the sound it gives my speakers.

DIY Headphone Volume Control
In my quite compact home studio, my rackmount headphone amp works fine, however I'd like to put a more versatile setup together for location work. It looks like I'll have a big gig in the near future which will involve headphones widely distributed on a stage.

I wonder if anybody here has experimented with "Spaced Omni-HRTF-BAFFLED" microphone technique as demonstrated by http://www.sonicstudios.com

DIY de-esser (using stereo compressor)?
Greetings,
From my limited knowledge I understand that a de-esser is essentialy a compressor that limits certain frequencies of sibilance.
I also understand that an actual de-esser would be rather expensive due to its special function.

my DIY: the ongoing evolution . . .
It's been a while since I posted here. I've been busy busy busy in the mean time continuing to work on my craft.
In a current sense, I'd be interested to hear how you guys think I'm doing now - the good, bad, and ways I might be able to improve further. A few of you may recall track 3, which I had asked for feedback and help with back in March or so.

DIY preamp: Quality or self satisfaction?
I had read many post about DIY preamps kits and myself been watching and thinking seriously about getting something done.
But is this question on my mind: Do the DIY kit preamps fill the need of self estime or they bring quality at not so expensive rates?
what i'm seriously looking for is cleaner, colored and quieter preamp, and the prices are relatively lows.
peace.

Need DIY assistance -- Kev or Zilla?
Okay - so my PreSonus Central station has gone flakey. The rackmount portion works fine, but the gain control on the remote is terrible. It scratches and cuts out on both or either channel on its own.
I shouldn't have expected anything more though from PreSonus...
