Anyone know where I can get the manual for a Fostex X30? We've misplaced ours.

In 'the old days' I used to record all my stuff on a Fostex G16 multitrackrec.
Now, after some years, I finally have the chance to copy all my stuff onto a Hd-recorder.

I've managed to get a tape jammed in my Fostex D10 DAT recorder. Most of the tape transport lights are flashing and the big display shows Err codE 007 (which probably translates to "some stupid plonker has put a broken tape in me"). Anyone know how to get the tape out? Power cycling certainly doesn't help. I bet there's some kind of button pressing combination that forces eject.

I am looking at the Tascam 2488 and the Fostex VF160EX. Can anyone give me advice to help me make the decision? It is to record some music that my brother's punk rock band plays.

I am in need of montors and I have been listening to the Fostex PM1 and PM2 and I must say that I really liked them.

Liked them better than both KRK V4 (which I must say that I hated, they sounded really plastic and boxy, also they were ugly to look at - anyone agree with me) and Yorkville blabla actives which I thought were sounding funny in the mids.

My church want to have a system setup that is able to capture our various choirs performances, which will then be edited and burned to CD for sale.My budget is $4000.00 but out of this I plan to purchase an Allen & Heath GL2200 mixer $2500.oo and the balance $1500 for the recorder.

I'm going to a new studio to do some recording in a week, and they have Fostex G16 that hasn't been aligned in a YEAR! I've been doing all digital recording for the past three years, and haven't had to calibrate a tape machine in as much time.

Anyone had experiences with these beasts? Anyone able to compare and contrast? I am sick of computer recording and want something else that is hard disk based (I like the copy/paste and undo functions, it's true). Any ideas? Doc
