Sorry I'm such a noob, but is there a simple way to add subsonic frequencies for a bass guitar, so that one doesn't hear them (as subsonic implies, heh), but rather feels them? Or am I in need of a special plugin /hardware to accomplish this task?

Hello I am starting to mix one of my first projects and I was wondering at what freq. does does the Bass guitar and Kick drum usally run at? And also does a dist guitar generally cut the bass and let the bass guitar take care of that? Right now my dist guitar has a lot of low end.

my recording setup is basically as follows:

gibson SG supreme p-90s > line 6 spider 210 > box containing one of the line 6 speakers and a 20$ nady mic > imic (using a 250-50k ohm transformer) > my mac > logic express 7

problem:

i am getting very very harsh spikes of various frequencies, usually around 2.5khz

I have come to a point where I now need to start mixing my songs. My setup is mostly software-based and the problem I have, or don't have is this:

stop pops. .for example, I know for the p's and b's in words like "pop" or "bump" I would cut in the 60hz area but how about for the q's and k's for words like "quiet" or "kill"? any help would be appreciated

I'm down to the mastering portion of my latest project (9 song rawk album, lotsa OD'd Les Pauls thru Marshalls, you get the idea).

In the past I have only used my T-Racks mastering software to bump up the overall volume, make things sound a little bit bigger etc..

I've got a Roland VS-2480CD,and have started attempting to record better drum tracks for my tunes.
My kick drum and 3 toms are miced with Digital Reference mics.
The snare and hi-hat have a Shure SM58 stuck in between them.
There is a Behringer B-1 condenser up high and centered,as an overhead.
