Linux DAW shootout: Harrison Mixbus vs. Reaper
Can anyone help me with some pros and cons comparing these two programs?
Harrison Mixbus 4 vs Reaper 5.40
For today's purpose, I am running Ubuntu with XFCE. I do not have an interface picked out yet, so that can be factored into the discussion.
Harrison MixBus 3
I downloaded, installed and licensed MixBus 3 yesterday ( I believe it's actually vrs 3.6).

Swedien is an amazing cat - his resume is ridiculous; from Count Basie and Duke Ellington to McCartney and MJ... with many others in between.

MixBus - which Harrison compressor are you using?

Which Harrison compressor are you using, either for individual tracks, and/or for the 2-bus?

Harrison MixBus
I purchased this program last year, and I really enjoyed mixing with it.
I wouldn't recommend it for full-scale production - being that MixBus has no midi function at all - you are best to use your current DAW to record if your project includes midi or soft synths.
