Marshall 1960a Jack Plate
Hi, I need to replace the jack plate on my marshall 1960a cab. I've found the part in various sites, but my jack plate says 300w RMS and under the switch it says 150w/CH. Stereo.
The parts I see to order have both those numbers slightly lower(280 and 140, respectively). I wanted to know if that made any difference. I'm using a Voice AC100CPH Classic Plus.

Recommended brands for balanced Jack Leads?
Hi,
Please can I ask the forums advice on their recommended brands of balanced Jack Leads?
Previously I've made up my own cables using balanced FST cable and budget jack plugs but have had problems with the connections breaking and then having to re-solder.
So now with my DAW set-up having such few cables I was thinking of investing in some high quality cables.

Using the headphone jack on my Powerbook to mixdown
I just bought a G4 Powerbook so I'm wondering.. Is there a better way to get quality mixdowns from my Powerbook than just going 1/8" headphone out to RCA left and right on my standalone Philips CD burner?
I'd like to get the best quality for a reasonable price.

Small headphone jack to XLR
Hey guys,
I work in a theatre (ok, ok, I'm a lighting boy :D ), and out of curiosity I was just wondering if it is possible to hook up standard stereo headphones with a boom mic (separate jacks for audio in and mic out) to the "cans" system.

Are Jack cables Shielded?
Ok.. I know XLR cables are shielded..
I always thought Jack cables wern't.
My guitarist told me the other day that the jack cable he was using ... was... shielded... and wouldn't pick up noise.
Neither of us are pro's...
Was that possible?

I know "jack $h*t" but I'm lovin my traks :) -my s
Really, I've only been recording seriously for about 4 months and I'm lovin' it. It's pure luck though. I'm sure this has been rehashed here a million times but I really want to post my experience.
I have the opposite problem than most. I'm so into the music, I love all the tracks...even the clams - I have to force myself to look for trouble :D
