Been encountering an error message that says "corefoundation unknown error" whenever i try to install Logic Express 7. All my audio & Midi hardware as well as my drivers are in place. Has anyone had the same happen to him/her & how did you manage to solve it?

I'm trying to get a nice, thumpy kick drum sound for an electronica-style project. I'm doing the programming in Logic as a MIDI track, the instrument/audio object being a SoundFont with lots of kick drum samples that I made. I have a lot of difficulty in getting it right, so I hope some of you can help me out.

I have an iBook 1.2GHz with 756mb RAM. I'm getting an interface bundled with Cubase LE, which means I can get an upgrade to SL for about the price of Logic Express.

What I'm primarily after:

1) A user-friendly interface. Something intuitive that I can pretty much figure out without reading the manual thoroughly.

2) A drum sequencer that plays .waw samples.

Thinking whether i should upgrade my MacOS from 10.3 to 10.4 or not. My setup is: Logic Pro 6.4, RME 9652, UAD-1, TC Powercore. I assume there would be no compatibility-problems but I might aswell check first since my computer is troublefree and smooth at the moment. Any OS 10.4 users out there ? What would I gain by upgrading ?
