Output from W/O 1 & 2 (M-Audio 1010LT) produces hum on A
:( This is my first post and reading all the posts here suggest that there are may pros contributing their excellence.
I have just embarked on a digital recording project and obtained a M-Audio 1010LT PCI card. I will be using this (and Ableton Live) on an HP Win XP SP2 machine with plenty of memory and a large drive. I actually have 2 questions:
Anyone using an M-Audio Firewire 410 with a Mac?
If you are, how is it working out for you? Any problems or bugs? Are the drivers decent? Which machine and what OS are you using it with?
Thank you.

Yamaha MSP5 vs. . M-Audio BX8 Monitors
I'm willing to spend $500 on some active monitors and I have come to like these two. Which would you choose and why? Also, anything else I should look at / listen to in this price range? I like the 8" woofer on the BX8s, but I think the Yamahas are probably the better monitor.

Any reason I should not buy an M-Audio FireWire Solo?
I think I am going to get the M-Audio FW Solo. I currently have a Tascam US-122. I'm looking to get the AD / DA inputs that the Tascam lacks. Is there any reason to avoid the FW solo? If so, why? and then, what do you recommend instead in the $200-300 range?
I'm using a 15" PowerBook with Tiger and only record Vocals and the occasional hardware synth or drum machine.

M-Audio Firewire 410 inputs only mono?
Hi,
I'm trying to record into my PC via my Firewire 410.
I've tried a mic (via XLR) on the front input and it only recorded in as mono.
The same goes for the 2 jack inputs at the back of the card which I was using to record from mixer/turntables.

M-Audio Mobile Pre Hiss Problem
Hi all,
This is my first post here. Hope that someone can help me out on this.
I am not sure is it my mobile pre problem, or just my setting. My setup is super simple, Shure KSM27 to the mobile pre through XLR Mogami Gold Studio Mic Cable. Then mobile pre to my computer's USB port.

SX2 and M-Audio FW 410. Can i record line in with fx?
Atm i'm using Cubase SX2 and a M-Audio FW 410.
The thing is, i have a roland jd-800 connected to the 410's line input. In SX2's mixer i can put an insert (e.g. compressor) on the line input but it doesn't work. No effect no matter what works. Not even the channel's EQ.
It seems Cubase doesn't do any effect on the line input. Is this correct?
