This is basically straight from mic. I have used some 1173-ish plugin compression on all tracks. Stereo-delay and flanger on lead-guitar.

I am going to try and track drums day after in my small recording room (10x10 feet). fortunately, the band listens to me and is willing to spend time and experiment (at least till the neighbours start yelling!).

the drummer set up the kit today and we tried a few Micing situations.

Recently recorded a punk / metal album. The album has the feel of an old-school punk band but also has a real metal type sound with big guitar and tight drums. It's mainly me on instruments, with special guests

first off, i'm new to this forum, but i have been browsing through it for several months now, and it seems there are a lot of knowledgable people here.
so anyway here's my question:
i'm working with a hardcore band that does a lot of screaming. how can i get that raunchy screaming effect heard on most commercial CD's, such as atreyu, slipknot, or bands of that genre?
