Should I get my CD mastered?
I know mastering really does make a difference but I'm on a budget and I think my mixes sound pretty good. But...if it really would make it sound THAT much better then I would want to get it done. But I want to know if it is worth it. Since I know everyone here is a pro at what they do and I trust your skills here is the link to a .wav of a solid mix from my album.

Need advice on transferring songs to get mastered.
Hi, I am playing in a band that is making a full length recording with a Fostex :? VF-160. We are complete on the mixdowns and now want to have it mastered by someone else before pressing discs. I cannot find out the best way to get the songs to the person who will master them.
getting my music professionally mastered - scared as sh**!
So my band "The Injured List" just got signed and my recordings will soon be going off to Spectre Mastering studios in Washington, they have a very professional space and their discography is rock solid!
I'm just scared to death that my recordings in the end will sound like sh**!
YIKES!

problem with reading indexes on mastered CD
I just finished mastering my first 10 dialogue CDs. They sound flat but LOUD just as requested by the customer. (yuck) Anyway, I give them the CDs burned with Toast at 2x on my MAC G4. Then all hell breaks loose, the CDs only read to the eighth track on the customer's little ghetto blasters. The rest of the entire recording continues after, but on the same index.

finalizer + sending mastered Cds to manufacturer
Hi, I have a huge workload, low budget project involving 53 CDs of dialogue. and "incidental' music for kids. I need to get it out quick and the budget isn't high so I am planning to buy a Tc electronics finalizer and do everything myself. I know DYI is not a great idea for music, but for this many discs and the nature of the material, volume and clairty are most important.
How do you get a radio friendly mastered sound?
hey there ppl.
i've been trying for some time now to get a more punchier, crisp, louder final result, but after I master my songs, then play them on a stereo, it's always quieter than radio songs. But if I boost the signal anymore on the program I use, which is Cakewalk Producer, it will feedback and distort.

question on pre-mastered mixes
Hey everybody...Well here is my situation followed by my question. I have been doing mixes lately for much more professional artists than the run of the mill local kid garage bands I used to get. I produce mainly rock projects. Usually I used to just do the poor man's mastering cause the kids couldnt afford to pop down any more cash for a true mastering engineer.
