I've got a MOTU/Sonar setup on my PC. Is it possible to install an Mbox/PTLE setup on my computer at the same time? Will these systems coexist or will they fight like cats and dogs?

I need to add Pro Tools capabilities, but when possible I still want to use Sonar. If anyone has input on this kind of a setup, please enlighten me!

Based on feedback I got to a post on this site last Summer I ended up buying an mBox. I have to say I'm very disappointed.

First, some background: I sold my analog recording studio when my family (2 young kids and wife) and I moved from a house to an apartment. Space is an issue, but so is time with two small kids.

My Set -up
Mbox -Pro Tools LE
Toshiba Satelite- P4
WIndows XP
Western DIgital 180gb external drive

Is there any way possible to use my MBox with another program/software? I know its made for Pro Tools but is there some kind of drivers i can download or anything to make it work with another program?

allright. I'm jusrt kinda confused on the mbox to what is the input playback knob. i mean, i can work with it to get the volume i need, but I'm not sure to WHAt it is actually doing.. ya dumb i know. help?

I am 15 years old, and I am wondering if i should get the DIGI 002 (2200$) or the M-Box (500$).

I want to start a home studio and for my level would it be smarter getting the 002 now that i can offord it?

Or is there something else that i should get?

I have a good computer for audio already know its good enough at least .

now should i get an mbox. its me and my brother only. we have been working together on stuff for almost a year now and we are moving into bigger place were we can dedicate a whole room to a studio.

I'm going to be producing mixing recording etc . he is behind the mic.

just got my mbox hooked up to my mac and everytime i go to make a session, it starts to create and then the screen fades to dark, and in a few langauges it makes me restart.? what is this?

I've got an xp windows system and I've downloaded the asio and wave drivers for using my mbox with other programs besides pro tools. For midi it's so much more efficently convenient to use SONAR 4.
