Does anyone know if the Mbox2 has better sound quality then the Inspire1394(which I currently use).

I use the two 1/4th instrument jacks in the front of the Inspire 1394 to record a synth and I am wondering if an mbox2 would give me better sound quality.

Digi 003 With Universal Audio 710 Twin-Finity OR
Mbox 2 With UA 710 Twin-Finity

I started a while back using M-Audio and I liked it for a while, started with a Fast Track then got an MBox2 with a PreSonus Mic Amp and I've always used a Macbook Pro.

I've been going to school for Audio about a year now and using the equipment there is so much better and has made the MBox2 look like a toy.

Hello all, I have, what I hope will be, a simple question:

Why do i see numerous ads for used MBox 2's for sale ?
Are they just junk ?

Educational version of mbox 2, is it the same as the regular version? And is it worth the price?

Which one is better in your opinion? Note I have an MPC4000 if it makes a difference

What is everyones opinon on the Mbox 2 Mini?

Any suggestions?

I have been playing keyboards in bands and in my home studio for more years than I care to admit. tried the cheap road in recording. Had probs with a Tascam 2488 and now looking at Pro Tools. I am surprized to read that one big advantage between the PT Mbx 2 and the Mbx 2 pro is the addition of the firewire. This aspect doesn't make sense to me.
