I'm searching for a cheap (somewhere around 50-150 Euro) dynamic mic that I can use for female vocals (not thin ones, at that) for rehearsals. But I would also like to use it as a second mic in my project studio (the first one seems to be the AT3035).

I'm looking for opinions on drum mics and overhead mics. I've heard good things about RODE NT 5s and also SENNHEISER e614s for overhead micing. Also curious about choices for drum mics? Thanks in advance, Tony

Im just wondering how you guys would compare the Shure PG81 to other condenser microphones in its class in terms of recording Acoustic Guitar...

I'm currently deciding on either buying a RE-20, SM7,AE2500, or a D6. I've used every mic (and some I left out such as a D112 which I hate the sound of) I listed except for the AE2500 which is a new mic AT made which is a dynamic and a condenser mic housed in one body as a daul element kick drum mic. Has anyone used this mic yet and what was your response.

Hi all, I've attached a short clip of an acoustic part. I can't get it to sound anything like I want it to. I think part of the problem is my lack of mics. How would you guys approach recording a part like this. The tune is mostly just this part and a vocal. How would you mic the guitar and what mics/pres would you choose that you think might suit the part?

I've been using Behringer B2 mics for 1 year now, and i want to change these for more "professionnal" ones, for voice recording.
Unfortunately, i don't have the opportunity to test gear before i buy :(

So i was thinking about the TLM 103, but i hear many people say the studioprojects mics are really good ones... (especially the tb1)
