Microphone and Interface help

Forums

So I am finally getting around to setting up a simple home recording area.
I have about a 700-900 dollar budget and have come up with a couple options but I need help with microphones. I am looking for a mic that works well with my voice (good low and mid range, nice and warm, not too tinny) and also can record acoustic guitar well.

MICROPHONE SUGGESTIONS?

Forums

Hello all i'm gearing up a personal 'project studio' and currently using a cheap set of apex mics and a ShureSM57 (which i'm not a big fan of for recording guitar parts on next to even the cheap condensers) but any who i was wondering of some GOOD mics to invest in (no specific price range/purpose) so if you could leave a suggestion and a small description of why you suggest such a mic and for

microphone decicions.

Forums

I have used the awesome search on this forum and read some good helpful info on the subject i'm needing help with. I am wanting to purchase my first serious LDC microphone. I want to purchase one that I won't want to get rid of the next time I buy one, and that i'll be able to use even when I buy a more expensive one in the future.

Carbon microphone on drums and vocals

I thought some of you may be interested in the use of a lo-fi mic blended with regular mic techniques to get a more complex sound. Though I build and sell these carbon microphones, I'm not trying to spam. I would like some feedback on my product and more ideas for it's possible uses. Tell me what you think of my recordings!
