Lots of mud when voice recording
Hello!
Whenever my wife records her voice, it really sets off the 250k range (see attachment) of mudiness. Is there anything we can do to reduce this? I have to go into my Para EQ and reduce it, though it does take away from the tone some.

Muddy Recording
Hi! I have Komplete Audio 6 and MOTU 624 audio interfaces and RODE Nt 1000 and another chinese condenser mic Takstar pc-k550 . I don't know why but when i'm record vocals i always get muddy sound, i tried everything but with no luck. This is not mixing issue, dont advise me cut everything under 100 hz and etc. Voice just sounds unnatural.

too much mud in the final mix
So I've been searching the internet for tips on how to keep from having too much 'mud' in the final mix of a track while still not having too much treble. It seems I always fall in to either category but I can never stay in that sweet spot. When I have the solo tracks they always seem fine to me, but in the final mix the mud comes out and I'm not sure how to go about correcting it properly.

Why is my guitar sound so muddy? (clips)
I reamped somebody else's DI's today and compared them to my own playing (not reamped) and the results have me a little down. His tone had a lot more mids and definition and mine just sounded muddy. I have been thinking about this for the good majority of the evening as to what could be the cause of the mud.

Help Diagnose Mud in Guitar Tone (Metal)
Not really part of a composition, but a buddy of mine said that he thought these tracks sounded 'hollow'. I personally think they sound more along the lines of 'muddy'. I'm not sure though, let me know what you think. You will hear three sections of double tracked guitars with slightly different tones.

Tracking Down Mud
I just laid down a guitar jam track and I am not terribly happy with it. It's not horrible, but it's not perfect either. I find the lows to be a bit muddy, but not overpresent. What do you suggest my next step should be?

How to get that nice thick sound W/O the mud
Hi all.
I am working on some songs that have a lot of high gain guitar tracks and I also want to bring out the bass. However, I am having some trouble getting around the muddy sound.
Any ideas or techniques that bring out the bass guitar and high gain guitar with out them sounding to 'muddy' post recording?
Thanks for your input.
Why are these mixes so muddy sounding?
I have some really good songs but my production is not all it could be. I'm open to suggestions or possibly offers. Very limited budget. If you don't want to listen to the sound of myspcace clips I have some high res Mp3 clips posted on the last address. Thanks and hope to hear from you all.
