Change speed and pitch in Pro Tools?
I've got a Digi 002 and I want to use this piece of sampled music as an intro for my band when we play live. I already imported it in Pro Tools and spliced it up the way I want it. Here's my problem, I need to slow it down slightly to match the speed of our first song, and I also need to bump it up a half step in pitch. Anybody know how I can accomplish this?

Pitch correctors like Antares, Helicon
Have you had experience with any of the hardware real time pitch correctors?
Antares ATR-1, TC Helicon Voice works or other?
Antares also makes the AVP-1 which has pitch correction among other things but I would guess since they are both current products and the AVP does more things that the pitch correction might not be as strong.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Vocal Pitch
I'm in the market for a vocal processor for harmony work and vocal effects. I have my eye on the TC Helicon Voiceworks and the TC Helicon Quintet. Has anyone used these and which one is better? Also what is their down side if any?
What's this button do?

Why is MP3 conversion causing pitch change?
I recently converted some stuff done in Nuendo to MP3 "Pro" using Cool Edit Pro and it changed the pitch/tempo at various points in the song. Sounds like it slows down in the middle of the tune and then speeds up again before the end. Anybody got any ideas why this would happen and what I can do to fix it - this sucks? Here's a link to the song if you want to hear what I'm talking about.

Cubase changing pitch
I'm having an issue when importing sound/wav files. Whenever I import the file it seems Cubase is changing the files pitch. For instance I will practice a few times playing over the backing track. When I am ready to record I will import the backing track file onto an audio track and when I go to record the guitar part it sounds like crap.

Hi Pitch Computer Monitor Noise
Hi, my old NEC 17" computer monitor has developed a rather piercing hi pitched intermitent noise that is slowly driving me nuts and also annoying my dog. :p It comes and goes, almost always there at start up.
Is it time to go for the flat screen?

How To Pitch Bend A Soundbite?
I'm trying to do a quick pitch down (tape stop effect) on a soundbite. I did a tempo map, and then adjusted soundbite to tempo, but it just slows down without changing pitch. Can someone tell me if there is a way to do this (and how)?
Thanks,
Tim

a H910 or H3000 style pitch shifter
All the pitch shifters I have found are formant based designed for a single monophonic sound. Are there any good pitch shifters in VST format that can work just like an Eventide 910 or 949? I'd love to pitch up and down a few cents, and even better I'd love to feedback the effected sound back into the pitch shifter to create that killer 70' effect.
Any advice?
