Hi-pitched frequency from right Monitor?
I can't figure out what is causing a very high pitched frequency to emit through my Right monitor only. It's very distracting. It is in a random pattern, on and off every few seconds. It's like morse code... sometimes it's longer (2-3 seconds), sometimes short (1-2 seconds), in intervals of 1-4 seconds.

Pitch shift/speed variation at mastering stage
Hi,
I've been wondering how common a practise is it to subtely change the pitch/speed of a track when mastering it - I'm talking about mastering to tape here, so let's say + or minus 1% to 4% speed... or more? Is this ever done?
Any ideas would be welcome,
Thanks -

varispeed in terms of pitch
Hello forum.
I have a question regarding varispeed. Hope you can help me.
If a tape machine is running at 50 cycles and then I tweak the varispeed knob all the way down to 42 cycles, how much would this affect a sound in terms of pitch (semitones or cents).

Choir pitch
It happens to every choir. Suddenly when you hear the last chord, it's approaching a semitone low... This is failing technique, concentration, group psychology, bad day, whatever, but it is and once there it is a hard to break.
What do you do? For single voices there is melodyne or autotune. Is there anything else you can do other than bringing the group together for another try?

Electric Guitar Mics & Pitch Correcting?
Hi everyone,
I'm just about to start a project that is going to twist my rubber arm to buy more gear!
I was hoping for some recommendations...
1) I need a nice mic for electric guitars. Has anybody compared the Royer R-122 to the 121? Is it worth the extra $500? Any other suggestions?
