I'm running a Pro Tools system with two external hard drives (we'll call them A and B)and the enternal (C). When I do sessions in one of the externals or the enternal (A or C), everything goes as it should, the session and audio files are stored in the file that gets created when you make the session.

My system has been running, recording 12-16 tracks simultaneously without any problems for about a year. Within the last week, when opening any sessions I had previously recorded, I get clicks and pops on playback. If I solo the track in Cubase, I still get clicks and pops.

Background:

I had a digi 002r which i used to plug my monitors in the back of using a 1/4" jack which ran fine on my PC.

I sold the digi 002r and bought a RME Fireface 800 to use with Cubase SX2. Now ive installed my RME BUT i have no where to plug my monitors in the back of the thing like the Digi 002r.

First post-

I'm having a problem with my Studio Projects C4 microphones. Both of the pair are giving me trouble when I have the cardioid capsule on. There's a weird popping, like static or white noise. I'm running it through my PreSonus TubePre into my Tascam US-428, and I haven't had this problem with any other condenser I own.

I hooked up my mixer/soundcard and reciever kinda sh*tty, and now when I record in Adobe Audition 1.5 it records the instrumental and the vox together. So there is no acapella track.

Can anyone help me out here? I had it setup before I bought the new soundcard, but i can't remember what exactly I did.

Thanks

Is dat the fire wire wil get the problem (using by PreSonus)

Hi - I'm currently building a DAW and I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the following configuration. I'll be using SONAR, Waves plugins, soft synths and I'd like be able to have stability with at least 40 tracks of audio/midi. I won't be recording more than 16 tracks of audio at once.
