I am doing the sound for a cartoon series and i have a whole bunch of audio files..hundreds - of different dialogue lines.
I want to apply a general compressor on these files - basically and i dont know the best way to chug through all these files?
Just recently bought the M-Audio Audiophile, and i have the tape output from my Behringer mixer into the input of it and the output from it to my speakers. but whenever i record vocals or any instruments from the tape out of my Behringer mixer, i cant monitor them through the speakers, or headphone output, can anyone help me?

Due to space constaints I cannot multitrack to my computer. I'm currently recording basic tracks on an old Alesis ADAT blackface in one room and then transferring them to my computer via lightpipe. I've successfully made the transfers but found when I go to open up the files it can take up to five minutes to load.

My problem is I am looking for a way to hook up my headphones to my audiophile 2496 sound card and produce/mix music at late nites, when I won't disturb anyone with noise.
My friend suggest that I should buy a cheap mixer, like Eurorack UB502 and run the audiophile 2496 soundcard to the small mixer, which has enough connections for my monitors and headphone.
Hi, Im using a Apex 435 condenser mic. when i have a xlr-to-XLR cable connected to the mic to the mixer, the mic works. whenever i connect xlr-to-1/4 phone to the mic then to the mixer, the mic does not work. what can be some problems? phantom power is on so thats ok. anyone have any ideas?
