Basic questions about audio interfaces and pedals
TL;DR in the end of the post.
Hello RECORDING.org member!
So, I recently started playing guitar (about a year ago), and I always played/studied with my Guitar and Amplifier.
Digitech Whammy Pedal won't power on
Hey i just tried to use my 2 yr old whammy pedal which i purchased new, and i see no lights, and it will not transmit sound. This pedal only has a couple hours on it, and has been kept in my house, near all my other pedals which work. The only unusual thing is i left it down at my studio for a couple weeks along w/ a couple stomp boxes.

Fractal Audio Axe-fx = burning all my amps and pedals!
Just came back from a friend's house who needed a 2nd set of ears for recording. He had this thing in his rack, Fractal something. I said "what's that?", be barely even responds. He hands me a guitar, plugs me in and fires it up.
OH. MY GAWD.
Good midi keyboard recommendation? Need2 Change VST w/ pedal & non-distorted sounds?
I currently have a Yamaha YPT-400 Keyboard and I wanted to upgrade my midi capabilities. I want to do more with it, and sometimes when I press 5 keys at once, my VST gets distorted. (left hand stops even though Im holding the note. Not sure if that's keyboard related)
Anywho

hey,
i`m looking for cable that goes between your pedals? but has thin head?top? (sorry, don`t exactly know the word for it.)
Anyway i been looking for that kind of cable because i saw the picture somewhere online but it seems that GC or Musicians friend dosen`t carry them...or maybe i`m not typing the right words for it.

Your Chain For Recording A Pedal Steal Guitar?
I did a little search on this forum and did not see many results for people's opinions of how they like to/would mike a pedal steal guitar rig. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

volume pedal
I am looking at a midi device that will take controller msgs from my pedal board expression pedals and convert them to resistance outputs in the fashion of a potentiometer. I want to use that resistance as a volume controller between my keyboard and amp.
I am concerned that the potentiometer will be, by design, linearly scaled, and not as db audio taper.

Recording Guitar Straight in then Adding Amps vs. . Recording Straight in With Pedal
I just got a Voice Tonelab ST pedal which produces some very impressive tones for the guitar, great amp modeling, it's even got a real tube in it to add to the sound. I'm doing some home demos and have been recording straight in, then adding amp effects using the program/VST Guitar Rig 3 from Native Instruments.
Help Diagnose My Pedal Clipping Problem?
I've got an MXR KFK 10 band EQ and whenever it's in my signal path I experience some kind of slight clipping on the harder picked notes. You can hear it on this quick comparison.
