Source of pops, clicks? Driving me mad!

Hi: New to the home recording studio setup. Need some tech advice. RODE NT1000 into Blue Icicle, into Macbook Pro, using Audacity to TRY to record. I am getting loud clicks intermittently, with no distinct pattern. I even disconnected the power cord to eliminate electrical interference as a source. Any suggestions?

Crackles/Pops/Metallic Static in Mic

Forums

I've noticed lately that my Shure condensor mic is crackling, popping, and offering up a metallic static as the result of sharper vocals, IE words that begin with the letter F. Sorry, I can't remember the model I have, something like SCM 1000 or 2000, it was $299.99 about 3 years ago. Any suggestions on how to mitigate this would be great.

In Need Of Help- Removing cracking/popping Sounds.

Hello There!

I have my tracks already recorded and am doing the touch ups.
I'm working in Logic Pro 8.

There are around 5 small glitchy cracks that occur throughout the song. Im sure its common enough. Could you please tell me how in this program I can remove them. Perhaps there are multiple different ways.

Causes for random pops an clicks

I asked this questions a long time ago and was told very aptly that my wireless internet was causing these random occurrences of artifacts I guess they're called. I shut off my cell phone, wireless internet, and every piece of electronics that has blue tooth. and it worked.. until now. They're back, the only thing I know that's changed is my graphics which lead to some sound problems at first.

How do I remove pops after recording?

Hi,
I have a vocal recording which, unfortunatly, I'm stuck with (I cant get the singer back to re-record).

It has a couple of pops in it on the P's and B's. Im very new to recording and would like to remove these myself.

How would I best do this, should I try to find a PopFilter VST plugin , or is there a better way to do it?
