Hows it going I'm new to the site an would like to first off by saying from the looks of the topics here this seems to be a really resouceful an over all helpful site.. after reading my problem please let me know if you have any suggestions... ive been recording for a few yrs now an this is mostly the most fustrating thing ive come across.

I've just recently got the inspire 1394 firewire i/o. and when i record something on it, theres a lot of clicks or pops, not sure which it really is, but it just doesn't sound smooth. If anyone has any ideas of how i can fix this let me know. Thanks

do anyone uses any kind of processing to get a more stable and less buzz rattle and crack sounds recording hi gain guitars? or do you simply use Micing and eq?

I am using the digital out on a Behringer Ultragain Pro-8 going into the digital in of a Digidesign digi 002. I am getting a lot of popping noises. Anyone have this problem? I have the Pro-8 set to master 48K sample rate and the digi 002 set at 48K sample rate. It's driving me nuts. Any help is much appreciated.

i've been recording with my new Delta1010, but i cannot get rid of these popping and clicking noises in my recordings. i searched through the entire 1010 manual, tried a few things they suggest but still no luck.

things i've tried:

I finished recording a song today, so when i go to mix it a try and put compressors on the vocals. For some reason its taking 20 times longer to comress them and when its finished the vocals have pops every three seconds. Can my computer just not handle it? or is it something else?

Hello all. Need some help.

When I record using MOTU's symphonic instrument in Cubase 4, I get pops and clicks at the beginning of notes on playback. I cannot hear any popping and clicking during recording and while monitoring CPU usage, it never goes above about 30%.

I'm using a maya1010 sound card, and during play back ill hear poping and craclking. if i change the latency it'll help for a little bit but then after awhile the poping and craking will return. any suggesstions to get rid of this?

I don't know what is happening. I have MAC g4 with a digi001. I am on OSX using Pro Tools LE 6.4. This past summer I edited and overdubbed a whole album over two months. I worked about 8 hours a day with no problems. Recently i have taken on a new project and ran into a wall. I am getting weird digital pops and clicks on my playbacks when I start editing.
