Best Preamp for Audiobook Recordings
I don't mean to be a pest with all my questions, but I really appreciate all the great/useful answers I have received from you all recently!
I am starting to record audio books. I have a PR40 and a laptop and a very good sound room ready to go. From other users' comments, I now know that I need to get a good preamp for my recordings.

Kind of buzz/noise issue with my Mixer & Mic preamp PSU
Hi all!
I just bought a micpreamp -PreSonus Tubepre- & I need to connect it on the same USA-EU transformer (they are US models connected on a European plug) of the one which is used to connect a Mackie VLZ 1202.
it makes a kind of buzz/noise which is more than annoying for my voice recordings.
Any ideas to solve this?
Thanks for your answers!
Preamp suggestions
I'm looking for a stereo (2 channel) preamp. I want to mainly use it for vocals, but also for drum overheads. I'm looking to spend 1,000 to 2,000, and do not care if its used, off ebay, etc. I just want to most I can get for the price I can afford. I'd love a Manley because I have used them in school, but.. thats a couple thousand out of my price range. Any suggestions.

What mic preamp is good for RE-20 for VO work?
What type of preamp should I be looking for for RE20 when doing VO for radio. I am looking for something that is going to get me the best out of the mic for a relatively decent type of price.
I mean I am not looking to go super elaborate here, just something to bring the best out of the mic.
Any suggestions would be great, thank you.
Suggestions for good rack-mountable mic preamp?
Any suggestions for a really good mic preamp, particularly for drums? API was suggested and it would be great if I could gradually get some of the 512's, but I think you need a different type of rackmount system (lunchbox?). I'd like to keep it at around $600-800 per channel. I'd like to be able to gradually collect due to price range.

good tube preamp for AT4033CL
Hi i heard from someone if i got a tube preamp for my AT4033CL it would make a world of a difference. I got the mic for $200 so I'm not looking at spending a lot. Im running the mic into an Alesis firewire Multimix, so I'm sure anything will be better. This mic will be used generally for vocals
thanks!

ART Pro Channel Preamp Tube replacements
I have had this ART Pro Channel in my studio for years now and I would like to breath some new life into it. I ordered and installed Ei 12AX7 Elites and TungSol 12AX7 [ NEW PRODUCTION] tubes only to find that both had issues. The Ei's had +17 dB noisefloor over baseline factory tube. The TungSol tube has a bad harmonic distortion at about 300hz.
