Does anyone have any idea about the compatibility issues dealing with installing the Firepod ASIO and Midi drivers using Windows XP Professional x64? I know there are definitly some issues with the use of 32-bit programs with this particular OS, but I'm DYING to get this working. Can I install the ASIO and MIDI drivers manually?

I'm very new to home recording.

I got this firepod and I'm interested in hooking up a Eureka soon..

I've looked at the inputs and outputs on both.

How do you go about connecting these 2 units so they work together?

This is my first post here after lurking around for hours. Instead of using my computer's harddrive I would like to use an external drive. Does anyone use this? Thanks, I'm looking at 7200 RPM Firewire drives.

I am having trouble with my midi/VST instruments playing back alittle behind my audio tracks.

I am using a PreSonus firepod, Cubase LE on a 2.4 ghz PC w/256 ram
running under Windows XP

I have the latency set to 3 on the firepod..that's as low as I can go without it makeing some crazy sounds...

Any help ?

One time i asked on this board why my Logic Express were having some trouble with only 5-6 tracks... the answer was that if I was only using the buit-in soundcard of previous iMac G4 computer, it was the cause because a so small soundcard would not be powerful enough to do pro audio - the i got my Firepod soundcard with pro.

I had a couple questions for you folks who may have had some experience with the firepod. How is the sound quality on this thing, is it on par with say a digi 002. The reviews seem to be pretty good. I eventually want to get an RMEfireface but I'll have to wait a little while before I can afford it. Probably be another 6 months before I can throw down on that.

I just purchased the firepod yesterday and I'm having problems with getting any real level. I tried to record separately a vibraphone (with a MXL V67 with phantom power on) and vocals with an Audix OM5 and in both cases, I barely get any level on the channels I decide to record on. And I mean, barely any. I'll be lucky if the meter on the channel even lights up. What am I missing?
