Well I finally got to try out my firepod today. But on Play back there is a lot of cuts and clicks and pops, almost like digital clipping. Im useing Sonar producer 5.0, and I believe that the Firepod is the only with time clock running. I believe the outputs must be messed up. Then when I set windows output to be the firepod "outputs and 2". There is no signal at all.

Well I just got a firepod, and ran a question in my mined. For whatever reason I can not figure it out. So how would I gop about hooking a preamp up to the firepod. Would I got Spdif in? I mean there is no "pre" preamp insert. Everyother input would run though the firepod preamps. I think I'm just stupid. Someone please explain.

Hello, i have been looking into purchasing a home studio type deal, I'm not all to formilliar with everything

i went to two music stores and both had a completely different out look

one said to get the MBox2 because its the easiest to set up and is great for starting up

the other said to get a firepod w/ Sonar 5

I havent had to deal with this yet. But I would like to know the best way to do a compact setup of monitoring the 8 channels off of my firepod, plus obviously, the playback (via stereo pair as I can control the monitoring in cuebase for now) into 4 channels of a headphone distro amp, and my monitors (if I would like the channels Im tracking to be on them).

Tech help not available and i need to record demos now... please help me lol.

Loving my firepod, but i want to be able to control wah/volume/other effects for my guitar in Cubase sx. So i was thinking of buying a single unit midi expression pedal with a 1/4 in output. Can i use this to control wah effects and volume and stuff like that? Where would i plug the expression pedal into the firepod.

Im currenty juggleing between a Korg d16 (due to it's 8 inputs) and my M-Audio Mobilepre is excellent but more and more I find myslef being asked by bands to record them. I hate embarassing my self with my half assed process haha. I mean the quality for what I have, and compaired to stuff they've paid others to do is miles beyond. But it's time to move on.

Greetings all. I was wondeirng if my laptop, an 1.42 Ghz G4 with 512 RAM (which I'll probably upgrade to 1.5 gigs ram), would be able to handle a Firepod? And, if so, what sort of audio programs does the Firepod work with that this computer can take? Logic Pro? Garageband (obviously)?
