i have a roland ed pc 300 midi controller. i downloaded the appropriate drivers from edirol.com and ran the install. reason won't see the contoller. i checked profiler and the device is present. I'm in os10 and am not too familiar with it. i have done this to another machine and it worked on command. wtf?

My question involves Reason and what to do during mixdown to make for the best possible mastering.

what is the best way to get digi 002 beats/synths into Pro Tools via digi 002? do i have to plug out of the headphone amp into the preamps [which got all sorts of glitchy noise]?

it was giving me an error when i tried to load up the aif files from reason into pro tools, it went on about converting them into mono files, which i didn't do.

I am in the process of changing my studio over from simply analog to computerbased digital recording; using the powerbook G4. I am a newbie at this; I've decided to go with MOTU 828 Firewire recording system in combination with Propellerhead Reason 2.0. Just want to push a couple of mics and a guitar at this point. I've been watching the messages on the other boards regarding the dangerous 2-bus. Could someone explain why analog summing would be quantifiably better than digital? What is wrong with digital summing algorithms, that hasn't been fixed?

I did a search on the web for dangerous's web site, and found this:

when i run reason and Cubase together i can play the reason song through Cubase but i cant get midi mapped to reason or vice versa.

i should beable to get the reason devices to show up in the midi output window to select them on each midi channel, but everything i've tried doesnt work.

i have Cubase vst32 v.5
reason v.1

any suggs. help
