This is a popular question. I've been in some preliminary talks with a potential new client for a design and supervisory role on a new home studio build in my area.

The obvious question is how much, the reply, well. . It depends. So many variables exist in studio construction it's very different than any other type of construction in a home.

I need a proffesional alternative on my on-the-road-recording-rigg.
I need a PRO result from a BUDGET buy.

I've been looking at a lot of open source stuff, Cubase, and so forth but cant make up my mind.

There will be NO edition, just pure recording.

This are the criterias.

My band is doing a new 3 song EP in august and like last time, we're recording it in my home studio.

However, since becoming a 5piece (from a 2piece), i can no longer rest on drumkit from hell superior and donät have the equipment/space to mic a 2 kickdrum, like 10 cymbal, 5 tom drumkit in my house...
